This story stems from a social issue I personally experienced in my hometown, specifically Bangka Belitung, where the “Nujuh” tradition, or what people commonly call commemorating the seven days of a person’s death, takes place.

The role of their students is crucial in this cultural tradition, combining local customs with what’s commonly called “Nganggung.”

With the assistance of the students and the community, this tradition becomes easier to carry out without burdening the grieving family.
