Introduction

IMAC Film Festival is a Short Film Festival initiated by Creative Industry ILUNI UI as a platform for young Indonesian filmmakers to showcase their creativity in short film production. Since its inaugural edition in 2024, IMAC Film Festival has continued to grow. In 2025, we successfully presented some of the best short films from young Indonesian filmmakers and screened them over three days as part of the festival series.

In commemoration of National Film Day, IMAC invites filmmakers to make an impact on students, university communities, and the general public. The festival also provides audiences with the opportunity to watch and discuss films that may not be available elsewhere.

As a national-scale event led by academics, film practitioners, critics, and UI alumni, IMAC Film Festival aims to deliver a short film festival that goes beyond screenings—it fosters meaningful discussions within the industry.

IMAC Film Festival 2026, will be the International Short Film Festival. We will open submission to International network and we will have three International Jury in 2026. We embrace the theme “Resilience.” Given today’s global landscape, adaptation and perseverance are two key values that individuals must hold onto.

IMAC Film Festival 2026 will feature several key activities :

1. Roadshows
2. IMAC Film Camp – A learning and development space for students.
3. IMAC Film Competition – A platform for filmmakers to showcase their work.
