The film titled “Siapa Takut Bu Asih” is not just a film for entertainment. The film tells the story of a teenage gang named Salvatore who want to investigate a rumor that a canteen vendor is using black magic to increase sales, but their actions instead uncover a dark secret behind black magic. This film combines elements of fantasy with elements of cultural beliefs about black magic. I took stories from the media and sources who told me how black magic is practiced and what happens to the people around them. I combined these cultural elements with elements of fantasy by creating images of creatures associated with black magic, as well as the terrifying rituals involved in black magic. Through this film, we not only want to entertain the audience with our genre breakthrough and execution, but we also hope that this film can raise awareness of how dangerous and taboo black magic is. Unfortunately, even as I write this statement, pesugihan is still an alternative to worldly pleasures. Implicitly, I also wish to convey the message that everything we do, every action we take, every path we walk regardless of whether we are doing something good or bad will be repaid with its own karma.
